7½ ft, 3 piece two tip, pure vintage ELEGANCE, built in 1922.
Refinished nicely, this lovely gentle caster prefers a four weight in modern line, but works wonderfully with 'E' silk. With its ornately hand engraved Varney type reel seat, bright intermediates and built for a prominent Hartford family name, there is plenty of fly fishing history here. Fine leather tube, rod sock, tip tube with tip bag, quality ferrules, similar to and typically of Edwards' ferrules of the time, the water seal on mid male may need a resolder at some point, but this rod is sound and has been refinished and rewrapped properly for regular use.
