unusual to see salamanders this late in the year, but long-overdue rain showers bring them out of hiding

water is still low - thankfully staying cool enough to suit the trout, sipping tiny olives throughout the day

with recent heavy rain, river could peak at 6000cfs today, Spring runoff height

nice flows - beautiful sunny sky this AM means a busy day on the river for late October

surprisingly as late as mid-October, a good number of Cahills:
