someone requested more fish shots, so here's a typical short evening on the river - in fish:

plenty trout rising aggressively at dusk, well into the dark - a small brown Caddis appeared briefly, but the staple was the late season Yellow Cahill (Steno.) spinner in the dark:

September 12, 65 degrees
the sky is beginning to look more Autumnal:

And with recent rain, the flow is back to a more normal 300+cfs

Water still dropping - above the Corner to Monument - 90cfs

at least the water temps aren't as brutal as last week.

Housy swells quickly (up 500% above mean flow for this time) after some heavy rainstorms on the 23rd

Farther downstream the Housy roars at Bull's Bridge / Ten Mile confluence:
